Pulwama, June 4: KT Tehsildar Pampore carried out a raids against land mafia at Patelbagh village of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
Revenue officials told KT that cases have been registered against illegal soil miners.The Tehsildar Pampore Asif Malik (KT) with assistance of other officials conducted raids in Patelbagh village to check illegal excavation of Saffron land.
During the raid 2 JCB's were seized, officials said.
Police, Geology and Mining department officials were called for legal proceedings against the wrongdoers.
” A raid was carried out in Patelbagh village where some persons were excavating soil from Saffron land. The raids was carried last night,” Tehsildar Pampore Asif Malik told CNS, adding that machinery used in the illegal excavation was seized on the spot.
Meanwhile,the local residents of Patelbagh Pampore appreciated the administration for cracking a whip against land mafia.(CNS)
